As more and more of us are able to move to 64-bit operating systems, the question of how to connect to recalcitrant Excel and Access files comes up regularly. To address that, we've created a new technical solution: http://usa.autodesk.com/getdoc/id=TS18307898.

David,
thanks for the solutions.
I am puzzled, because solution 2 recommends deinstalling Office 2010, install the reditributable engine 2010 and install Office 2007?. What do I do, if I don't have the 2007 Version?
Solution 1 is a problem, too, because most of the Addins for Excel, Outlook etc. won't work anymore - they are programmed for 32-bit. Other Applications, that use the 32-bit redist-engine of Acces won't work either. That is a problem.
Cheers, Jan

I just spoke to the Author of the post that I refered to via Being Civil and can you re-post your comment there?
