AutoCAD Map 3D 2012: Unable to load profile

Another issue resolved by a bit of serendipity.  We recently received this error when launching Map 3D 2012 on Windows 7 x64:

When AutoCAD Map 3D 2012 launches after clicking the OK button.  The user interface is missing a lot lof of elements:

To resolve this issue, we needed to reinstall the msxml6.msi/msxml6_x64.msi noted in this solution:

NOTE:  If you download the software the location of the file would be in:

C:\Autodesk\AutoCAD_Map_3D_2012_English_Win_64bit\3rdParty\x64\msxml6

As a precaution, we also ran the AutoCAD Map 3D 2012 secondary installer by deleting some registry keys and some User Profile information.  You will need to extrapolate the registry values noted in this solution.
