When trying to activate the software, you will get a fatal error and you will be prompted to submit a CER report. Please review the following solution and download the patch and apply as necessary. This applies to all Autodesk products.

The key part of determining if the symtom will be resolved by this solution is by running this command in a command prompt shell: wmic bios get serialnumber. If there is no serial number, then the patch should work!
