This is an issue we are seeing with few users trying to launch Inventor 2015
The crash is caused by the following registry key missing from the users system:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\htmlfile\shell\open\command
The product never launches but instead goes directly to the CER dialog.
If you are experiencing the same problem after having installed Inventor 2015, please try the solution below.
The solution requires admin privileges:
- Download this zip file and extract it to the user machine
- Rename the file from .txt to .reg
- Double-click on the file
- Inventor 2015 should now be able to start
The first update to 2015 should take care of this once it’s available.
Thanks to Mike Dickason for having provided the solution.
Ale
